This week take a peek into a day in the life at Penfield Elementary! ?? We arrived at the school just in time to see Ms. Badger's and Ms. Sheiles' classes heading out on a leaf adventure hunt to the Sportsplex to learn more about the beauty and cycles of fall.? The Library was buzzing with a research project on mushrooms, as students used iPads to dive deep into the fungal world with Mr. Haines. ? After sharing, Ms. Romagnoli's class enjoyed following along with a National Geographic book on the beach, gathering inspiration for an upcoming writing project. ?? And Ms. Nixon's class also brainstormed all the things they love to do at the beach ahead of their writing project. ? In Ms. Stewart's K/1 class, students explored new activities at centers, fostering creativity and teamwork. Mr. Johnson's class was hard at work, building creative “cages” for their pet rocks—quite the challenge! ? While Ms. Panziera’s class worked on drafting plans for their pumpkin launchers ahead of the school's big pumpkin launch competition at the end of the month! We can’t wait to see those pumpkins fly! ? Meanwhile, Arnold, a member of our amazing maintenance staff, was on site fixing washroom stalls to keep the school running smoothly.
