Library Learning Commons
Welcome to Southgate's LLC! Our library is a busy place with lots of resources and activities going on daily.
Our library is usually open each morning before and after school until approximately 3:30 p.m. We are also open for students at lunch time, but no food, drinks or cell phones are permitted! Activities at this time include: Knitting Club, Ride & Read (on our stationary reading bike), quiet reading corners, puzzles, board games, Etch-A-Sketch and more.
Our fiction section is organized into genres to make it easy for you to find "just the right book" or series of books. We have a great deal of fiction and non-fiction genre or topic bins which help students and staff easily find what they are looking for.
Our LLC is run on the Insignia system and students can access this system through the SD72 website to search for books and put reservations on items if they are on loan. SORA is our e-book and audiobook system and students can access this system through the SD72 website also. Most classes have had lessons with Mrs. Lawson to learn how to access this information.
