What is involved with hosting a short term student?
Homestay Hosts provide a home away from home for our students and similar to a longer-term stay we need hosts for short-term students who come for 1 - 2 weeks. All family types are invited to apply to our inclusive and diverse program.
Hosting a student for a short term may require a host parent to be more involved in transportation to and from school. While not required to drive them each way but more time spent guiding and supporting the student to get to and from school as they are here for such a short time.
All our host families must provide:
- A secure and welcoming home environment
- Parental supervision
- A private bedroom
- Three healthy meals and snacks each day (students can prepare their own breakfast and lunch)
- Secure WIFI connection
